Barn Find 1969 Triumph TR 6 with clean Ohio title. Plans had been to do a total restoration on this TR and had begun removal of the interior when another Triumph became available. So sadly now selling this one. Also, 1969 was the first model year for the Triumph TR 6.
This 1969 TR 6 is not running but the engine does turn. The car does not appear to have been modified and seems very original but needs restoration. Previous owner told us that the transmission had some sort of unknown issue when it was last running and will not go into 3rd or 4th gear. However, it does shift while sitting in the garage. Body is very straight with good gaps at hood and doors but both floors are badly rusted and need to be replaced. Frame has some rust but the extent of repair needed is unknown. Some original features of this 1969 model include the original magnetic gas cap rather than the later type with the latch, ignition switch in the center of dash rather than under the steering column, and the headrests on the seats fold forward to accommodate the tonneau cover (which is included). Also has convertible top.
