1970 Triumph TR-6 with restoration almost completed. This is a 6 cylinder, 4 speed, convertible. This project was started in 2011 when the car was bought from Mass and I have a clean title that comes with the car. The VIN is CC52745L. I'm selling the car because I have too many projects, as I'm trying to complete 3 projects, one must go, so I decided to let go of my TR6.
The Frame, Body, Entire Drivetrain has been 100% restored. The body is aligned and installed properly to the Frame with nice panel gaps. The Engine, Transmission, Differential, full suspension has been completely rebuilt and the car runs and drives! I have everything to complete the car, including a new interior and trim work. The new owner needs to buy a new Carpet, Convertible Top, and some misc hardware. I have a lot of original parts for this car that are in very nice condition. The car can be completed without spending a lot of money.
To finish the car, the car needs to be painted and final assembled to be completed. The engine bay is completed and painted and the chassis is trimmed and edged with paint and ready for the final paint coats. All body panels were installed with a few bolts so these can be easily removed for paint. The rear wiring harness needs to be installed, and enough of the wiring harness is installed to run the engine with the key. I have a lot of new parts, and many used nice parts included with the car.
This should be a nice project for someone, with the car needing paint and final assembly, this car has potential to be ready for the road soon. I painted the chassis with POR-15 because it was my intention to drive the car, and its easy to touch up POR15 to fix chips from every day driving.
Frame- the frame was stripped, media blasted, repaired in areas, and rebuilt with all new hardware. The frame is painted with POR-15Chassis black.Suspension- as you can see from the pictures, the Suspension looks new. All parts were media blasted and most parts were painted with POR-15 Chassis Black.Chassis- The engine bay and trunk areas never had any rot- What was replaced is new floors, rocket panels, and rear tail panel. The underside of the car is painted with POR-15 so the car can easily be touched up.Body- The hood, trunk, and doors are original and rot free. All 4 fenders were purchased new from Moss Motors. The gaps on this car are very nice! Great door and rocker panel gaps, that separates great cars from fair cars. The bumpers in the pictures are original and in fair usable shape, but they should be re-chromed. Engine & Drivetrain- Engine was completely rebuilt from top to bottom, the block was bored 20 over, and it runs perfectly. The transmission and differential were rebuilt, and there are only a few miles on the drivetrain from being driven around the block a bunch of times. There are 2 sets of carbs included with the car, mounted to the engine now are new Weber carbs and linkages. I also have the nice original carbs and linkages, these need a simple rebuild because they were leaking fuel. The distributor has electronic ignition. The oil gauge is a mechanical gauge, so the new owner would need to track down a mechanical sensor to make it work. All brake components, lines, cylinders, calipers etc are new and/or rebuilt and are in perfect condition, the emergency brake works too!
Interior- The seat frames are in great shape. I have a brand new interior for the car with new seat covers, door panels and trim work. What is missing is the carpets, the new owner would need a new carpet. The dashboard and gauges are all in beautiful condition, the dash top and pieces are like new.
I require a deposit and cash on pickup. The car in its current condition will make it easy to transport.
