1971 Triumph TR6 with optional Factory hardtop (Brooklands Green?). Has been in high and dry storage in a enclosed garage since late 1984 after original owner past away. I purchased the TR6 from the widow in 2014 and have been working on it since then to get it up and running again after 31 years of Rip Van Winkle Sleep. YES ! IT'S ALIVE AND RUNNING AGAIN. .. . Here's a list of NEW parts installed. BATTERY - ALLOY RADIATOR - RADIATOR HOSES - WATER PUMP - OIL / FILTER - VALVE COVER GASKET - CARB DIAPHRAMS - ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP - DIST. CAP / ROTOR / POINTS / COND. / SPARK PLUGS / CLUTCH MASTER CYL. / CLUTCH SLAVE CYL. The TR6 starts and runs very well. Oil pressure at idle is 55 PSI, water temp. is 162 degrees, alternator is charging, engine compression is 150 PSI on all six cylinders and engine runs very well. One lifter has a ever so light clicking tap and should be adjusted. Electrical items such as lights, wipers need attention and I have to use the emergency brake to stop the car, but have a NEW master cylinder and 2 New rear wheel cylinder that are included but need too be installed by new buyer. One black seat and one tan seat ? Convertible top folded into area behind seats for hardtop installation, but needs too be replaced. This TR6 is an ideal running restoration project and not some non- running bucket of bolts. Time and money is the basic formula to any restoration as I have rebuilt and restored many Triumph over the past 43 years. The transmission shifts in all 4 gears and reverse with no noise ( all fluid levels checked and topped off). The overall frame is in good solid condition with no signs of rust rot or accident damage. The floor pans are not rotted out, but I am INCLUDING a pair of NOS Left and Right floor pans with the purchase. There are 2 small dents on the drivers front fender, front bumper has been kissed and dented in the past. The battery box tray is not rusted and rotted out as seen on many old TR6's. The body is not perfect and nor am I at 63 years. The TR6 original colour was White and was repainted Signal Red by the original owner and was used as a JERUSALEM SHRINERS parade car for many years by the original owner.
Just a reminder that this 1971 Triumph TR6 is sold as is with no expressed or implied warranty. A $500.00 PayPal deposit due within 48 hours of auctions and balance due within 7 days of auctions end in CASH or UINITED STATES POSTAL MONEY ORDER Only Please.
