The car has been in storage and not driven for over twenty-five years. It was garaged for most of that time. Car is intact with no missing parts. The engine is not frozen. Top part of engine was rebuilt 2000 miles before I stopped driving the car. Gas tank, oil pan etc will have to be drained. Needs frame work, new hydraulics, tires and floor panels. Rust on all panels but repairable. Chrome is pitted, but still shines. Soft top is not useable but frame is OK. There is a hard top that I have listed in another auction. The interior is in pretty decent shape, No tears in the seats, wood dash is a bit faded and has some cracks in the varnish. The car has the rare center arm rest console with radio speaker in it. The car is sold as is. Buyer is responsible for $500 immediately at end of auction with balance due within 5 days of the end of auction.Buyer is responsible for transportation of the vehicle from Altoona, Pennsylvania. 16602Payment is strictly by cash or cashier's check. Check must clear at least 5 days before deal is completed.
These cars seems to be appreciating in value, with plenty of parts available.I'm the second owner and have owned it since 1976.I planned to restore the car myself but have decided to sell it an let someone else enjoy it. I'd like to see it go to good home. 1973 was the last year of TR-6s before Leyland put the big rubber bumpers on the front and back. Some extra parts are included - stock leather covered steering wheel and extra wheel trim rings.Please ask any questions prior to bidding. I've tried to represent the car accurately.
