Certain to draw much attention whether on the road or at a car show, this 1972 TR6 has been steadily improved over my eight years of ownership. It is the one to own, produced before the US emissions standards killed the Triumph's true gutsy performance, when in 1973 the engine design was changed with compression lowered, which stifled performance. It is also lighter and more true to the original design prior to the big rubber bumper over-riders that were added from 1974 to 76. Included in my refurbishing were paint & interior, custom glove leather seats with cloth center, new carpeting, beautiful solid wood dash and reconditioned gauges, plus new dash pads, all completed over the last few years, in addition to much mechanical refurbishing to make it a reliable driver for weekend or daily enjoyment. The unique hood with louvers was added (metal) to give it that 60's sports car look. (I will include an original hood without louvers if you want it.) Very nice paint with only very minor imperfections such as a quarter size spot in the valley on side of hood that does not show in picture, but some imperfection is to be expected of any older sports car. Solid no rust original floors (see pictures posted with carpets removed), and no rust evident in any of the panels, so a very solid example of the marque! Drives wonderfully, shifts perfectly and shows it's low mileage with everything feeling very tight and solid. Runs perfectly with recent freshened carbs. Brakes and clutch hydraulics were replaced.
It is being conveyed with the clear open signed, notarized title received from the former owner along with a bill of sale from me. The car has been stored virtually unused since the restoration was finished, and now that I have re-acquired a 1966 Austin Healey from a friend who I sold it to many years ago, this fine TR needs to have a new loving owner to make room in my garage! It is being sold in its as is condition with no warranties offered. I will assist in shipping if needed. Please come drive the car and look it over, in order to satisfy yourself it is in the condition you expect, as it is hard to describe something as complex as a vehicle in an eBay write-up, although I am open to all questions!
