You are looking at a diamond in the rough. This car runs very strong and all electrics work as they should. It has a very nice interior and has a good sounding Kenwood sound system. It has a roll bar for safety. The body is straight and the gaps are good. The doors and windows all work as they are supposed to. The top is in fair condition, has the trademark holes from storage that have been stitched. The top frame is excellent. There is also a top boot and a tonneau cover. All instruments work. All the interior lights work. It rides on a new set of tires mounted on Panasport wheels.The engine compartment is impressive. It is very clean and shows little sign the car is forty years old. The hydraulics are new and the radiator looks new. The firewall and fenders show no evidence of a repaint since new. The valve cover is polished aluminum and shows in the pictures the color of the car. There is almost no rust on the car. The floors are solid. The inner and outer rockers are solid.Now comes the critique. The car needs to be repainted. The paint has lost its sheen. There are a couple of places where there is surface rust and a few bubbles have made holes less than pencil size. These are forward of the trunk lid near the fender seams. They are very minor. There is some rust in the trailing arm mounts that will need attention in the not too distant future. I do my own work and that is beyond my capability to repair. Moss Motors sells the repair kits for $69.95 each side.This car will make someone a nice TR6 and could fetch the big bucks if done properly. There is almost nothing wrong with the car.
