Triumph TR-6 (1976)
for sale
Price: US $10,000.00
Price: US $10,000.00
For auction is a very rare opportunity to own a totally rust
free survivor car that has lived its entire life in sunny and dry Phoenix, Arizona.
This car has been lovingly maintained by its one owner. The most important
detail is the amazing condition of the frame and the body. No rust at all, the
car is as solid as the day it was built in Coventry
England
during February of 1976. This vehicle was sold new by Flint British Motors, (who where located on 7th Street
here in Phoenix), during May of 1976. And was owned by the same individual until it came to our
workshop for “tidying-up” a short while . The car is now offered for sale. The Arizona title is free
and clear and shows the car as having traveled just 79, 960 actual miles.
Here is a short list of some of the new parts fitted to this
TR6 in the last few months: It has a new radiator, new coolant hoses and belts.
A new Pertronics ignition system with coil. New distributor cap, wires and NGK plugs.
New brake master cylinder and flexible brake hoses. And as you can see from the
pictures the car is fitted with a new convertible top.
Rare features include the dealer installed A/C. The air
conditioning unit that has been upgraded to 134a Freon and includes a new
compressor, new condenser, new receiver dryer and all new tubes and hoses…...
Only in Arizona!
A TR6 with A/C….. And it’s all totally updated, and working.
In the under-hood pictures you will see a very rare and sort
after option. This TR6 was fitted with an Accusump automatic “pre-oiling
system”. The device stores oil under pressure, when the engine is shut off.
Then (days or weeks later) when the car is started the Accusump sends the
stored oil into the engine as the ignition is turned on. The system works
perfectly, and has and will undoubtedly continue
to keep the engine running well into the future with no problems.
It’s impossible to over emphasize the solid rust free
condition of this amazing car, if you buy it to drive it “as-is”, or you have
dreamed of creating the perfectly restored “mint” TR6 this car is for you.
Either way, what an incredible chance to own a true survivor.
I’m going to start the bidding low so everyone can have a
chance to own this “Time Warp Car”….
There
is no reserve.
I want be completely clear about this, the charm and joy, of
owning a British sports car is the fun of the hobby…. Going to shows, driving
down twisty roads, and spending time looking through the pages of the Moss
catalog, buying some parts and tinkering with the car…. If you didn’t
understand the last few sentences, this car
IS NOT FOR YOU
.
You can see that I have a 100% positive feed back rating, so
you can bid knowing that I am a professional “Car Guy” I only ever sell nice
cars…….
