This is the most original TR6 you are likely to ever find. It has been in storage since 1987. It has only had two owners since new. The last owner bought it from the original owner in 1979 and it has been driven only a grand total of 44, 000 miles. It has never been restored. The body is very straight and the very old paint still has a pretty good appearance. We are offering the car as is with the 42+ years of accumulated warts and dings. There are photos of all the rust spots we could find . The carpets were rotten so we replaced them. The floors has some surface rust and we wire brushed it and treated it with rust inhibitor. You can see in the pictures how good the floors are. The chassis is equally good. The doors still close as good as they did when it was new. In the pictures you will see the yellow plugs. They were put there when the car was rustproofed by Ziebart when the car was new. It apparently worked well because there is very little rust anywhere on the car. It needs a new convertible top. The thread holding the back windows in the top deteriorated and the windows fell inside the car. We did not put a top on it because the next owner might want to change the color of the top.The frame is good. It also comes with a tonneau cover which we can place on it for shipping to you. This car is wearing the same tires that came on it in 1973. They look pretty good, but I wouldn't advise using them.All the gauges and all the electrical items work as they should. All the wiring still looks very good.The engine starts and runs good and it shifts well through all the gears.With very little effort this could be made into a show car.
