Low mileage car in excellent shape with an interesting and well documented history. First owner purchased the car at G&L Motors of ST. Johnsbury, VT in June of 1980 and sold it to the second owner in 1984 . The second owner was the renowned historian and author Lacey Baldwin Smith who was the recipient of a number of prestigious awards for his academic work. I purchased the car from his estate in Greensboro VT in September - 2014 with 14, 568 miles on the odometer.
Original documents when car was purchased including work orders documenting service/repairs and mileage when serviced.
Original diamond silver metallic paint, factory installed fog lights, air conditioning and rare eberspacher gas heater. Original Fuel injected 1.6 liter engine.Original equipment including the convertible top with cover and tires. The exterior has a few minor imperfections and scratches that are visible under close inspection otherwise the paint is in amazing shape. The underside of the rear apron on the driver's side of the car has minor damage as seen in the photos. New padding was added to backs of the front seats by the award winning Richmond Upholstery out of Richmond VT. The wheels were professionally sand-blasted and painted - spare wheel/tire are original with the factory installed wheel weight still attached.
This is really an amazing find given it's history, low mileage, rare accessories and condition. The car is being sold as is and the buyer is responsible for picking up or shipping the vehicle.
