1965 Beetle, mostly complete. This beetle was taken apart by my friend some time ago, for rust repair, body work, cosmetics, partial restoration, however due to unforeseen circumstances was unable to finish his goal. The passenger rear section of floor was replaced, I believe where the battery goes, Im not a Volkswagen guy so please allow me to make my best estimation. The car did and was running prior to him disassembling the bug. The front and rear glass are out of car, and will need new seals for installation, appears to be original glass with VW markings, all glass good. Also I believe this is a 6 volt battery system, so I did not attempt to start it, as I only have 12 volt batteries on hand, Motor does turn freely however, and appears to be in its original state. I have the original key to ignition and door. The car is mostly solid, with the exception of the rear passenger side floor pan, and also some rust on passenger side of body, where the rocker/ running boards are. fenders were off the bug prior to me acquiring this, however I have attached the fenders with a few of the bolts for reference in pictures, also lights the same thing attached for reference. All of trim pieces are with car, mouldings, and other pieces of interior trim. Seat frames are good and solid, will need upholstered. What I believe to be missing is the front/rear bumpers, battery, running boards, interior door panels, and also the headliner. The fenders will need to be body worked, but there is no rot or tears/holes in metal, with the exception of passenger rust areas, the rest of car is solid. the transmission shifts as it should and emergency brake function. My friend wanted to get this thing in tip top shape. He purchased a brand new set of polished aluminum wheels, which are also included in this auction, from California Imports for this, tires never mounted. This car needs a competent individual/professional, who can take this to its next level and preserve its existence for years to come. Reserve is low considering the age of this bug, and the 600 dollar set of aftermarket wheels that will be sure to put some attitude and style into the equation. Buyer to pay 500 dollar non refundable deposit within auction close. Remaining balance due within 7 days of auction end with cash in hand or certified bank check. Buyer is also responsible for shipping costs. I will assist in pickup and arrangements if necessary.
