For sale is my 1971 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. I originally bought the beetle as a project to redo but lost interest and found another car to restore so this one has to go. The good: Seems to be all original, has rear glass for the top that is unbroken with frame, manual transmission, dash is in very good condition, i have the key for it, i put some oil on the convertible top joints and it started to move a little bit just didn't spend the time to work at it, and body itself is in pretty good condition. The bad: Engine in unknown condition tried to turn the crank and won't move but didn't' look into it after that, transmission in unknown state, rear wheels are locked up, floor pans are almost completely gone your foot will fall through it, i believe that the center tunnel is still pretty good condition but i haven't lifted the car to check it out, the heater channels have some small holes and some big i believe you could patch them or just replace them. Car will defiantly need a lot of work but is original and parts are pretty cheap that i've seen. I do have a chassis that can be negotiated that is in very good condition just need a patch on both of the rear floor pans but the fronts are in very good condition along with the rest. The Beetle is Pick up only!!!!! It is located in Madison, CT 06443. You will need either a winch or come along to get it on a trailer. If you must ship the beetle it is completely up to you at your cost just remember that it does NOT roll.
