1971 Volkswagen Westfalia
This is a very complete Bus, that has been in storage for the last twenty years. Over the last year alot of parts have been replaced to make this a reliable driver.
The gas tank has been cleaned and new fuel lines installed. A completely restored Solex Carburetor from Volkzbitz replaced the original.
This is by far the best thing you can do for your VW, not just a rebuilt kit.
All new brakes including, Master cylinder, Two new front Calipers, rear wheel cylinders, rear shoes, and all soft brake lines.
The engine is a 1600 dual port and runs well. It has had a tune up, valve adjustment, timing, points, new generator belt and all new exhaust.
All gauges and lights work as they should.
The transmission works well and does not pop out of gear. The shifter does feel dry or stiff, but I have put very few miles on it.
The body is mostly rust free with exception being the rockers on both side having some good sized holes. The passenger side has some large spots where old bondo repairs have popped off and there is surface rust. All doors open and close well. The windshield is in bad shape and should be replaced, All other windows are intact with dry cracking seals.
The interior is rough but complete. All rear door panels are included for use as templates. Rear closet has been customized to get rid of the blind spot common with these vans. The tent and flooring have been removed.
The bus has no title, Bill of Sale only. I will be glad to help load the bus for your shipper.
