Price: US $5,000.00
You know that saying, happy wife, happy life? Well, my Westfalia collecting buddy has learned the hard way. In his quest to find the most perfect Westfalia, he has three of these gems in his collection. This one was his first purchase, followed by a Wolfsburg and finally, the holiest of the holy grails, a Westfalia with a V6 Nissan motor. So, in the terms of the accounting term, FIFO-first in, first out, this one is the first one to go.
First of all, it is finished in desirable bourdeaux and not one of the more common colors. It has gray interior that is free of rips and tears. It has all it's curtains and covers. The bug screen was misplaced back in the day but it is readily available online. It does have the van door screen which gives a larger opening than the back door. The poptop is usable and in good condition. The glass is all intact. The dash, which is usually cracked is in good condition too. The door panels are in good condition, speakers have been installed in them. The sliding door slides easily. It runs great. I drove it through the hills of Santa Cruz up Highway 17 and it ran great on the hour and a half home to my house. There was plenty of power to get up and over the hill. It has a rack on top with a rack for your gear. Tires and brakes are in good shape. It was recently serviced by the renown Van Cafe in Santa Cruz. They gave it the thumbs up to travel to many more camping adventures. The current owner believes the heads have been changed out. It starts, idles and runs great. The transmission shifts smooth on the upshifts and downshifts. All the A/C components are present. However, it will need a conversion or recharge to blow cold. Selling this Westfalia for NO RESERVE. Final bid gets to take it home.
With all my auctions, a few requirements. First, NO PAYPAL. Second, any and all bidders with less than 10 feedback and/or negative feedback must contact me prior to bidding with their full name and contact number or their bid will be cancelled and their user ID blocked from additional bidding. Third, you are bidding to own, not look and make excuses. Once the auction is completed, you are the new owner. Any and all inspections welcome during the auction period. Post-auction inspections are not permitted. Ask any pertinent questions and they will be answered promptly.
Also, selling in AS-IS, Where-Is condition with no warranties, expressed, implied or written. Vehicle is a used vehicle and although looks and runs good, it is a used vehicle and not showroom new. So, with a great big, campfire Howdy, let the auction begin on this well loved, Westfalia.
