This 1977 VW Camper is a great runner, starter, and all around vehicle. It has had 4 total owners and spent most of it's existence in Southern Wisconsin, I have owned the vehicle for 10 years and haven't put more than 6, 000 miles on it since buying it. The total mileage currently is 82, 259 and I have always assumed that is the actual mileage.
The camper has all original interior except the 2 front seats which were redone in black vinyl in 2007. It also has the table, the canvass that stretches across the front seats, and a screen door for the back hatch. The van was painted in 2003 by the previous owner, and other than a few minor rust spots around the rear window it looks pretty good. The body has no dings or scratches and has no rust holes. I replaced the entire front end on the vehicle as it was in bad shape when I bought it, I also had some body work done around the front window, to strengthen it and to stop water from leaking in. The front and back window seals were replaced in 2006. The seal around the pop top and luggage rack were replaced in 2009 and many of the drawer handles have been replaced since I've owned it. Both front and rear breaks were done in 2010. The tires have less than 3, 000 miles on them. Also added a new rubber floor mat for the front compartment. All lights, turn signals, and windshield wipers work.
The bad: The pop-up canvass is original and has some stains and a few small tears in the screen and other areas, it is usable as is, they are really just cosmetic issues, but you could probably replace it if you wanted to. There is a small oil leak where the rear axle comes into the drive housing, according to my mechanic this is just a gasket that needs to be replaced. The vehicle water tank has never worked.

I have owned the vehicle for 10 years and it has been a joy to own, the vehicle is a solid starter and runner. My Wife and I haven't used it much in the last couple of years and realize it is time to part with it. It should be enjoyed by someone who will use it more frequently.
