Drive this bus away today!!!! This bus is in great shape, rust-free, damage-free body. Runs and drives. Studded tires on rig now. Brand new battery. Some performance upgrades to the 1700cc engine include dual weber ICT 34 carburetors, electric fuel pump, aftermarket oil pump. Compression is good in all cylinders, and oil pressure is stable. Before engine install, pushrod tube seals replaced, front main crankshaft seal replaced, oil cooler seals replaced, dipstick rubber grommet replaced. Thermostat controlling aircooled flaps replaced and operational. The small crankshaft seal (rear where fan pulley attaches) does not leak after inspection. A small and minor leak is still present however, and it is most likely the oil pump cover gasket or possibly the galley plugs. A minor fix for a backyard mechanic to make this bus motor tighter than it is.
