Hey guys. I'm selling my hot red 2000 VW Golf. It's a 5-speed manual transmission, two door with a hatchback. It has a Yakima bike rack for two bikes.
The rack can be converted into a rack for two skis. The ski holders for the ski rack are included, but not currently attached to the rack.
The car also has a nice sporty bra cover on the front.
Upgraded BBS 17 wheels.
162, 000 miles. It runs great.
JVC stereo system with CD player and AUX input.
A/C and heat work great.
Car also comes with Club lock.
Mammoth performance car pedal kit included on pedals.
Spare wheel included underneath flooring in trunk area.
Car also comes with emergency/care package, complete with towels, flashlight, engine oil, jumper cables, and the aforementioned ski rack attachments (all pictured).
I bought the car used in July of 2015. I am only selling it now because I'm moving to Nob Hill, and I have no desire to own a car in that neighborhood.
The VIN is WVWBC21J5YW235019.
The full model name is VW Golf GL 2.0. (It's a 2-liter 4 cylinder engine.)
It passed CA smog inspection July 19, 2015.
Recent maintenance events to note that I had done:
1. Oil change done March 5, 2016. ($50 expense)
2. Battery replaced Nov. 16, 2015. ($72)
3. Control arm bushings replaced Nov. 16, 2015. ($435)
4. Full inspection including replacing engine oil and filter, replacing engine air filter, and replacing pollen filter Sept. 28, 2015. ($200)
5. Coil, spark plug, ignition wire replaced Sept. 28, 2015. ($218)
6. Oxygen sensor replaced Sept. 28, 2015. ($218)
7. Mass air flow sensor replaced Sept. 28, 2015. ($218)
8. Passenger CV axle replaced Sept. 28, 2015. ($290)
A few things to note:
1. The right passenger door has a barely noticeable dent (pictured). The car was like this when I bought it.
2. The middle seat belt for the back row seat is cut (pictured). It was like this when I bought the car. I never got around to replacing it.
3. The paint coating for both the right and left side view mirrors seems to be congealing a little (pictured). It's only really noticeable though if you're looking for it. It was like this when I bought the car.
And FWIW, if you get a GoPro camera, you should do awesome things like this with the car (pictured in video link).
