Volkswagen Karmann Ghia (1971)
for sale

Price: US $9,000.00
You are bidding on a 1971 Volkswagen Karman Ghia convertible. This car starts and runs well. I purchased it from a gentleman 3 years ago, who stated he was the second owner and that it had not been wrecked. It was repainted white from the original yellow color. I am selling because we do not drive it much and I have other antique cars I spend more time with. That being said, it starts up readily whenever I have driven it and takes me around town, no problem. The car has always been garaged and fuel treated and winterized. No water leaks with the top, but I have never driven it in the rain-but have washed/waxed it without water leaking inside. Glass window is in good shape. All gauges work, except the clock ticks, but does not keep time. Radio works, but i do not believe it is original. When it was repainted, vintage bullet lights were placed in the front instead of the rectangular or square ones normally seen on a 1971 KG. (see pics) I invite you to look at and test drive the car before bidding. If you are not comfortable bidding on this car without seeing it or driving it first, please DO NOT BID. Non refundable $500 deposit required within 48 hours of auction end via PayPal. The balance by cash, wire transfer or certified bank check within 7 days of auction ending. If more time is needed, possible alternative arrangements may be made if acceptable to me. Title/car will be released when check/wire transfer clears the bank. Pick up or shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Please keep in mind this car is 44 years old, it is not new nor is it completely restored, but it is in great shape, very drivable condition, needs no immediate work just someone who wants to drive it!!!Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.

“excellent condition but not show car quality. this car has not been restored. However, it starts and runs well. New steering gear, gas tank and the exterior top is in excellent condition. The interior head liner in the rear quarter of the back seat area needs work, but this is not visible when the top is down. Small defect in the driver's seat upholstery, repaired with vinyl repair. Seats do show general wear and fading but are otherwise intact. The pans are in good shape. Minimal superficial areas of rust, but no rust through. Does not burn oil, transmission and clutch are good. Car has been repainted white from original yellow and "vintage" bullet lights were placed in the front, instead of the original square or rectangular ones. Paint is in good condition, but could used some polishing in areas. Overall, this car is in excellent shape, starts and runs well, but you are bidding on a vehicle that is 44 years old and it is not new car quality. Sold as is, no warranty.” |
