I am helping my customer sell his VW Thing. He's had it since 2010 and has put less than 3, 000 miles on it. I have many records of repairs. New gas tank and fuel pump in 2011. Thing header number 00-3425-0. Engine compartment seal. Front and rear VARGA wheel cylinders and master cylinder. Front to rear brake line.Upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends and steering dampener.Front and rear shocks. New tires.Voltage regulator and Wiring repairs. I rebuilt the speedometer and the fuel sending unit has been replaced.In August of 2013 I rebuilt the engine to get rid of a vibration. Turns out the camshaft had some strange tampering done to the rivets at the gear. Most recently the coil was replaced.
He rebuilt the door windows and I love the work. It is thick plexi glass that won't give into the yellowing the origionals do. Very solidly done. The floors have been strengthened and coated to do away with any rust.
