Description:

1973 Thing From California In Chicago
AMELIA ISLAND AUCTION IN MAY 2015 THE THING SOLD FOR $52, 800!
My 1973 VW THING is from Huntington Beach, California now inWilmette Il for sale.
This car was flat bedded to Illinois and was restored and is my daily driving car when it is not raining. She is garage kept and doesn't like wet or cold weather because she is a CA girl.
She does however have a rare gas powered heater that is currently not hocked up.
She is being sold because I own 2 other vw's (the 74 vw bus gets the other garage spot). I love this car and will sell her if I get my price, which is firm! If you are not a serious buyer please don't call.
Repairs since I have owned her. I have been driving her all summer and fall so I have done a complete New Front end as of 10/15/15
New top & frame
New tires
New muffler
New battery
Rebuilt motor
Master cylinder replaced
New fuel lines

New wipers /repair to wiper motor

Had windows made/she didn't have any living in California.
Working speedometer but the needle is caught behind the peg and needs to be freed.
Last recorded mileage is 12, 658.
Due to new front end will she will need an alignment.
Floor pan was repaired in California before I owned her.
