Transmission pump whine.
The Story:
I bought the Volvo back in November for 7000$. Previous owner got professional shop to perform swap for him, fabricating crossmembers and doing most of the electrical work. I was given a folder full of receipts for everything that was purchased for the Volvo. Unfortunately, due to ignorance on the previous owner's part and thinking that the Throttle Valve cable was something that can be adjusted by feel, the BRAND NEW REBUILT transmission was refusing to shift into any gear except first. Pictures below show stamp on first transmission with rebuild date. I swapped the transmission with another 700R4 from Pick N Pull, but got unlucky with it and it has pump whine. All gears function. A while ago me and a buddy went back to Pick N Pull and pulled a full 5.3 LM7 and 4L60E from PnP as one unit and brought it home. It's got a full harness and spins very nicely. We got lucky and found out that the 4L60E is a Reman GOODWRENCH trans, so it's likely newer than the engine itself.
This is an amazing project for the right person, and it lights up the tires for blocks, but my heart isn't in it anymore, being a student with a low budget. I paid 7000 for it, I'm asking 6500 for the Volvo, the brand new 350 SBC, and the extra motor and trans. One adapter plate and you can drop in the 5.3 and wire it up. Transmission length between the 700R4 and 4L60E is the same, so existing crossmember can be used. This car needs someone that'll finish this project, and as of right now, I can't.
Comes with extra trans cooler, brand new TV cable, brand new Rad hoses, a lot of extra goodies.
