This 1989 Volvo 240DL wagon is a 50k-mile beauty with a four-speed automatic transmission. The car was purchased new out of New Hampshire and was sold in 2012 the second owner. The incredibly low mileage is obvious on inspection, but is also documented through Arizona emissions reports starting in 2003 and earlier entries are the stamped in the Volvo maintenance book. The car is sold with a clean Arizona title.
This car is in great mechanical condition with many more miles left. Maintenance completed prior to sale includes new motor mounts, new radiator, new thermostat, coolant hoses, new main fuel pump, new fuel filter, and a new timing belt in the last 1, 000 miles.
Inside, the car is equipped with black vinyl seats and manual windows. As can be seen in the photos, there is a minor issue on the passenger seat and the early onset of a crack on the driver’s seat. The crack is not through to the form and is only in the surface of the vinyl. The stereo is original. The air conditioning blows cold-ish in the Arizona heat, but is still comfortable at speed.
The paint is original and shines like new with no oxidation. Slight swirling and one ding is noted on the hood, see photos.
Exterior trim is in good shape, with a missing piece the lower piece on the drivers side. Also the beltline trim along the drivers-side doors could use new clips.
The original 2.3L engine shines like new and does not leak. The steering rack boot is torn on the passenger side, and the rack is ready for replacement, as it has fluid seepage out the same side. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and engages all 4 gears, including over drive.
Underneath the undercoating is shiny and has protected this beautiful example from any rust.
This vehicle is in great condition. Any Volvo fan will just love this outstanding wagon. Buy with confidence because this classic vehicle will get you home without issue and be a source of joy for many years.
