Current Condition:
This 1992 Volvo 240 is in outstanding condition. Since new, the car has been garaged, and additionally, only maintained at Volvo dealerships (Borton Volvo & Volvo of Princeton). The car currently remains garaged and maintained by a Volvo Master Technician of 40 years. Truly a gem of a 240 for someone desiring a classic cruiser or reliving their first 240 experience.
Exterior:
The plastics are not discolored or yellowed, black trim is not faded, and the paint is swirl, scratch and dent-free. OEM Cibie headlamps, cornerlamps and taillights adorn the car. The car remains garage since new the and the exterior shows. Washed after every drive and doesn't appear to have been driven in the snow/salt conditions. Rust free car. I had paintwork performend on the hood and right rear quarter panel by a certified Volvo body shop due to scratches. Paint match, blend and paint quality is 100%. Clean title and no accident history.
Interior:
The car had aftermarket protective seat covers since new. Once I removed them, the OEM material shows flawlessly and like new. There are no tears, rips, stains, or smells in any of the interior. Features OEM Volvo floor trays and OEM carpeted floormats, perfect-condition door pockets and center console. Additionally featured is a driver armrest with cupholder pull-out. All electronics work including switches, lighting, power windows, and OEM radio. Headliner and sunvisors are in like-new condition. Trunk matting is in new condition and features an OEM spare tire/jack kit that has not been used. Please note: There is a 3/4 inch split only in the vinyl material on the dashboard (please see photo).

Mechanically:
The car rides beautifully without any interior or exterior rattles or squeaks. The car features newer Michelin Harmony 185/70/14 tires, all up to date factory maintenance, alignment in-spec, and frigidly cold OEM converted R134 air conditioning. The robust B230F does not burn any oil and the AW70 automatic transmission shifts smoothly as it should. No oil leaks are noted. Suspension components and bushings are in solid condition. OEM exhaust is in good condition.
History:
The car was purchased new in 1992 at Borton Volvo in Delray Beach, Florida by a university professor. The car remained in Florida until he moved to Princeton, NJ in 1994. The vehicle has only been serviced at Borton Volvo and Volvo of Princeton that is noted by the stack of service record papers. The 240 has always been garaged, and not driven in the snow/salt conditions. Currently, the car has 150, 998 miles on the odometer.
I purchased the car in March of 2014. I refurbished a few cosmetics and a Volvo Master Tech of 40 years consistently makes sure that the car is in 100% mechanical shape. The car is 100% OEM and has never been modified as I am quite the purist. The car sits in my 2-bay shop and I sometimes take it out for an evening drive or to Cars and Coffee. I truly enjoy driving the car and keeping the car spotless keeps me sane. It's a head turner and people, including myself, are constantly amazed as to the preserved condition of the vehicle. I currently own 6 unique Volvo's and as much as I'd like to keep this, I have decided to liquidate a good portion of my fleet.
