Hi All,
I'm selling my Volvo 850, My family has always been a Volvo family, my father had a 1985 245 that went over 450, 000 miles and is currently driving a 740 with over 300, 000. With this in mind i bought the car for my wife but she doesn't like it. In general it is in good condition and is my currently daily. The car has been great, i am tempted to keep but i already have a car and a motorcycle.
Pros.
- Body/paint are pretty good.
- Rebuilt Transmission with 40k on it.
- 40k on timing belt.
- 40k on water pump.
- Recent tires.
- Recent breaks.
- New High pressure power steering hose.
- New lower control arms.
- New coolant hose.
- Ice cold AC.
- No rust.
Cons.- Poor front seats but good seat covers.- Substantial oil leak from valve cover.- Armrest is in poor shape but its $20 to fix- Inside trim has trouble spots.- Rear driver window not working.- Back light for console is not working.- Rear doors wont open, a pin in the leakage for the child safety lock is missing, i can show you.
- CV Boots need to be replaced.
All and all a good car, I just don't have a use for another car.
