History
Car has been owned by me for about 2 years, but I have too many Volvos and must part with this one. Still have a full book of service records and receipts.
Currently, the car does not start but needs a Park and Neutral Safety Switch installed. I have had the defective part removed and car is ready for install of new part (about $180). The PNP switch shorted out due to battery leak but the battery still works okay.
Being sold as a cheap fixer-upper, mechanic's project, or parts car.
Exterior Condition
The car is in fair condition with clear coat peeling on hood and has had a wreck in the past damaging the fenders and drivers side door and lower frame. Hardly a spec of rust except around the dents on the fender next to the light covers. Front passenger side turn signal light cover has come off due to the plastic loop breaking, still have the light cover and could be repaired.
Interior Condition
Seats are in good condition and still comfortable and cushy, considering the model and age of the car, but with some tears on the 850's wear points. Driver's side power adjustments still work. Leather seats in back are in great shape and appear hardly sat in.
Stains on carpets throughout, overall good but in dirty condition.
Some plastic parts are broken here and there, like visor clips, etc. Center console cover has broken latch at back but still functions.
Nice working stock radio and CD player.
Both AC and heater work but the dashboard switch sometimes trips and turns off the fan, switch may need to be replaced.
Driver's side window does not roll down (needs new switch)
Mechanical
When running, the car runs solid and accelerates fast, getting decent fuel mileage.
It did pass safety and emissions test last year and is currently registered.
Has the Snow package which includes a winter driving mode as well as a sports mode, all of which work.
Cruise control functions intermittently.
Front brakes are fairly new, rear rotors and pads need to be replaced.
Tires are 6 months old and have lots of tread. Tires have lost air due to being parked.
Engine heads were rebuilt by previous owner, and did leak some oil. Heads have been re-tightened to stop the leaking. Runs solid.
Transmission shifts good with no indication of a problem.
Payment
I will accept bank drawn cashier's checks (must clear first), American Express Serve Card to Card payments, Cash, or personal check (must clear first). Total must be paid within 3 days of auction close. Car sold AS IS with no warranty or returns accepted for any reason. Clear title ready for transfer when funds are cleared.
Shipping or Pickup

I will assist in buyer arranged pickup of vehicle at my place as best I can. However, I will not be responsible for shipping or handling in any form. Must be picked-up within 72 hours of auction close or I will charge storage fee of $150/month. Local pickup is preferred.
