Up for bids is this terrific 1973 Volvo 1800 ES. THIS VOLVO IS ORIGINAL AND HAS NEVER BEEN MESSED WITH!!! ADDITIONAL PICTURES AVAILABLE.Relatively rare, Volvo built these Sport Wagons in only 1972 and 1973. This car was sold new by Sheppard Motors, Eugene, Oregon and has had 4 owners since including the present owner. The first owner was from Eugene, 2nd owner Central Point, Oregon, 3rd owner Grants Pass, Oregon, 4th owner Cleveland, Ohio . The car spent its life in Oregon until purchased by me in 2010. In that period the car has been garaged, never seen snow and has been washed using a damp rag and then waxed. There is no discernible rust anywhere and and I do not believe has ever been in an accident, [See pictures of under carriage and panel seams under headlight]. All seam joints under headlights, tail lights and rocker panels are original. The engine has approximately 12000 miles on it since a complete 1997 rebuild including hardened valve seats, new motor and transmission mounts, Fitchel Sachs clutch kit, new master cylinder, rebuilt calipers and pads, tank filter, One year old battery. Does not leak one drop of oil.The car has had one repaint in the original Volvo Sea Green, code 115-1. On close inspection you will see touched in chips, and minor rash on the nose and accompanying wear. The body on this Volvo is impressive, showing laser straight sight lines, original factory panel gaps, no rust, undercarriage is rock solid with it's original Volvo undercoating. The car rides on 4 correct powder coated wheels and trim rings and 5 new Goodyear Assurance Touring P185-65-R15 tires including the one in the trunk. All jacking equipment and tools. All of the chrome, bumpers, grill etc. is original and in great shape with no pitting. The belt line trim strips show a few small dings. All front and rear lenses look like new. Headlights are Bosch H4's. Original wiper arms with air dam to prevent lifting at speed. The rear hatch window channel is rust free and the lock works perfectly. All glass is original Volvo branded. [see picture]The interior can be seen as a litmus test of the level of care this car has been given through the years. No cracks in upper or lower dash, headliner is excellent, original carpeting, leather in seats is still supple and has been treated annually with Rolls Royce Hide Food. Rear seats, door panels and seat backs are like new. All instruments, radio and NEW air conditioning work. The clock only intermittently. All seat belts work. The motor pulls strongly, the transmission shifts smoothly and the Laycock overdrive makes driving this car on a freeway a pleasure. The car comes with its original Volvo 1800 ES Owners Manual from Sheppard Volvo Motors of Eugene, Oregon, Volvo Air Conditioner Owners Manual and Warranty and Volvo Warranty and Maintenance Record. Many additional pictures available to interested buyer,
