Up for auction is a great Volvo 145S project!
I picked this wagon up along with another vintage Volvo purchase. I had thought about restoring it myself, but I just have too many projects competing for my time at the moment. Therefore, this nice rot free 145S needs a new home.
From the records I have, this wagon was last on the road in 1993. It is surprisingly rot free, with the exception of the battery tray. Many of these early wagons have either been junked or are simply too rusty to be worth restoring. This car would either make a great parts car for a current 145S owner, or a great restoration / resto-mod base for someone looking for an early Volvo project.
The underside of the vehicle is very clean. The panels appear to be all original, however there are dents and scratches here and there all around. The interior of the car is near complete and original. The dash is even crack free! The white on blue interior should be a striking combination once restored. The exterior is missing the taillights, and one door is missing its trim piece. The engine bay has been stripped out minus the B20 long block, which is in unknown condition. This is an original 4 spd M40 equipped car, and the pedal setup and forward mounted shifter hole is still there. At a minimum, this car will need an engine, transmission and brakes to be a running, driving car once again.
It comes with a bunch of misc. parts, including much of the brake system, drive shaft, carbs and manifold, transmission bell housing, great condition hub caps, radiator, etc.

I have the key for the car and a clean Oregon title ready for transfer. The car is located in San Mateo, California. It rolls and steers, but has no brakes. Bring a trailer with a winch, or make sure your transporter knows the car is not running. I will assist with transport as much as I can.
