Description:
Volvo in good shape but needs engine. The transmission is in great shape and the original equipment mag rims and tires alone are worth the Reserve price. The vehicle has new struts and original mileage is 232k. The car has limited body damage on driver side front quarter panel and a small crack in the driver's side top corner of the windshield. The remainder of the vehicle looks good. The interior is also in good shape. The doors seal nice and tight like a new car and it is a quiet cabin. These vehicles are heavy and extremely safe. Volvo is known for safety. Interior has nice dark brown leather and the vehicle is fully loaded. Power Sunroof, the works.
I didn't list this specifically as salvage because if I had the $800.00 and where withal to put a rebuilt engine in I would in a heartbeat. It would be a great car if you did replace the engine and the book value is approximately $4, 000 even with 232k miles. I have another one just like it I drive everyday to Chicago and back. I love it! If someone is into selling car parts, then this car would bring well over the price you could get this car for.
Please note: The car would have to be towed from my location in Galien, MI. A flatbed trailer would be necessary as you are not supposed to tow AWD vehicles unless all 4 tires are on the ground. I am told it could damage the AWD.

| “This car is an excellent vehicle for someone who enjoys working on cars. I won't minimize here. The car needs a rebuilt engine and I have priced some at around $800.00. It depends on how many miles is on the engine you purchase as to the cost at a salvage yard. The car has a good transmission, new struts, good tires, rims, exhaust,and is otherwise in good shape. The bluebook on the car is around $4000. The car has some damage on drivers front quarter panel and there is a crack in the far upper corner of the driver's side windshield. Windshield would not need to be replaced for legal or inspection reasons. Does not block view of driver at all. The vehicle is also worth the price for someone who would like to strip and sell for parts. Volvo parts can be somewhat expensive and someone with the know how and tools could easily make a lot of money on the car. The stock magnesium rims and tires are worth $800 alone.” |
