Willys CJ5 (1960)
for sale
Price: US $950.00
Price: US $950.00
So, Here I am going to sell the 1960 Jeep. I had other plans but things have changed and I dont want it to sit any longer. Has not been on the road since 1995. However, this is a incredibly solid, very complete Jeep. It will need some work but a super rare opportunity for the right Jeep / Willys collector or interested party.I think you would classify this as a Inredible barn find, but its not in a barn, it is now outside (Under a tarp/cover). I know it needs a battery. I am not going to buy one as the Jeep is still original electrical system ? 6 Volt and I am not going to jump start it with my other car and potentially damage the electrical. I do believe the first person to actually come and see it check it out will want to Buy It Now. I I think it is a very rare and excellent find at the Buy It Now price. I think it is actually worth significantly more buy thats ok. (If you want to give me more when you see it, thats ok to). The Jeep DOES NOT RUN, and as stated, I am not going to fool with it. I know it has Marvel Oil in all the cylinders but without a battery I cant tell if the engine will run, how good or whatever.. The complete drive train, Engine, Transmission ect seems to be in excellent condition and all original. I think the seats might even be original? The vehicle certainly is a fantastic start of a excellent project. I have the soft doors, frames but they will need new fabric material. It will also need a new top as well as it is very old canvas. I believe the Jeep is a product of a years ago refabrication as the tailgate does not seem to be original, but the work done is fantastic. The metal is thick and the Jeep is a rock. I was just showing this to a potential buyer and found that the rear area of the frame has rust issues. So I am relisting with that in mind. This is a reposting of a previous listing but now with the frame having rust, I have lowered the price to less than 1/2 of the last bidders bid in the cancelled auction. So you will be purchasing a Jeep with a area on the rear center cross bar rusted. The pedals are stiff, ( clutch and brake )so this will need some attantion. Best if you buy it to have it transported till you can get it to a place and go through it to make it road worthy. Tires are old ect. Buyer to pay $500.00 Paypal within 24 hours end of auction or Buy It Now purchase. Remainder in cash at pickup or prior to transportation out by transportation company, 3 days prior Paypal. Remainder within 5 days purchase/online sale commitment/end of listing/auction, Paypal if using transportation company. The $500.00 is not refundable, I welcome you to come see it for yourself and check it all over, (this will actually probably get the buy it now done immediatly), Or look at the photos and my feedback and take a gamble. Otherwise if you have any doubts, dont bid, dont buy it, move on, good luck. I will work with buyer and transport company to coordinate pick up. I will give buyer more than ample time to come and get it. I think up to 20 days after complete payment is received is reasonable unless otherwise needed( no storage fees or extra $$ needed), I will not take a bank check or personal check. I know it will cost me but Paypal will be the only source unless cash at time of buyer personally taking possession from here. It can sit where it is till you get things organized. It is very easlily removable and great access. rolls great and will load up very easy, steering is good, shifters mover easliy, locks into gear or shift into neutral good. I think the photos and description is very accurate and I think someone is going to score big time. But I make NO GUARRANTY of any kind, Vehicle is sold in AS IS condition in need of work. But a very very great opportunity at this price and I dont think you will find another one like it in this condition for this price. Good luck. Thanks.

Thanks for all the inquiries, The most common answer is: #1. NO it has not been sitting outside in the grass, I just moved it in the current spot for better accessability for the selling. . #2, Yes, it does have the glass type fuel pump, I thought it showed up in the photo, it also has the generator and all electrical in tact, yes it does all seem to be original. #3 I have added some additional pictures of the dash/inst panel and yes, it seems is all original with no cutting or damage, ( the glove box even has the original cardboard box still in great condition and the lock/latch is still in the glove box door. Also I added the windshield frame photo and is yes indeed very clean and not rotted/rusted out, it is the fold down type but I have never folded it down, though the windshield glass itself does have a bullseye and will need to be replaced., the drivers side wiper is original type and the passenger side has a manual inside handle, manually wipes. Thanks
