Re-listing due to a non-payer. Please do not bid on this car unless you intend on following through with the purchase. For whatever the reason, this car has brought out the highest number of knuckleheads and bullshitters I have ever had on a car. I just don't get why people feel the need to waste my time and theirs when they have no intentions on making a purchase, or following through with the purchase ???
I want to start off by asking you to please call for honest answers BEFORE you bid. Or better yet, come by and look at the vehicle or have someone inspect it for you. I do the best I can describing my vehicles and I include very good pictures that can be expanded. I do this to try and avoid any misunderstandings. It is impossible to list every little item on a vehicle that may or may not be important to a buyer. Thanks.
Also, please read the payment section carefully. I will not vary off of what is explained there.
This is a super cool and very unique Willys Gasser. The body and frame were purchased back in 2001 and the car was finished in 2002. I have a very thick file with receipts for almost everything from day one of the build. It has a clear Missouri title in my name and it is titled as a 1941 Willys VIN # W231770.
NOTE: This car was built to mimic a bad ass 60's style gasser, which it does very well. It has never been raced, but it fries the rear tires with no effort. It is always one of the biggest hits at cruise nights. People gather around it as if I am passing out $10 dollar bills to anyone that takes a close look at it.
Body: One of the best and heaviest duty bodies I have come across. It came out of Florida from a company named Out of Florida of all things. I have the original sales receipt for it, but the company went out of business years ago. The molds were created from an actual steel 41 Willys, so they are exactly the same size. The fenders were molded separately, not molded to the body in one piece like the cheaper fiberglass companies do. The fenders are still the same size as factory steel fenders. No modifications have been made to the wheel well openings, etc. If you look at the trunk picture, you can see the shape of the factory metal bracing from the original steel trunk lid that was used for that mold. The trunk lid is very heavy to pick up and is held down by gravity. This car is NOT PAINTED. The color you see is actually the gell coat polished out. Very cool and vintage looking. Obviously there are flaws, scratches, and other blemishes, as one expect on a gell coat only exterior, so do not expect a show car finish on this car. The lettering is real paint, not stick on vinyl. It fools a lot of people at cruise nights because it looks just like an old steel gasser from the 60's. It has electric door poppers, but the power has been disconnected to them. Everything is still installed and a remote control is included. The temporary door opening system as of now consist of simple wire cable pulls from inside the car. I bought a complete all new manual door handle system for it, that comes with the car. Inside and outside handles and all hardware. The windows are power and work fine. The cage is not a NHRA certified cage, but it is very stout. I do have the unmodified hood for it, but it has never been installed. Hood is stock with no cutout for the blower. It has a stainless steel continuous hinge that will bolt right to the fasteners that are on the firewall already, very similar to the way an original Willys did. It is blue gell coat also. I also have the fiberglass cover for the interior of the firewall where you can see the distributer in the pictures, interior window trim, and the head light buckets. All of the lights work including blinkers. No wipers or horn. Tilt steering wheel. Gauges are all Auto meter and work just fine.
Frame and suspension: Custom made heavy duty rectangular steel tube frame. Looks like a Speedway front axle. Manual Vega steering box. Drive shaft loop. 9 Ford rear end with 4:11 posi. 4 wheel disc brakes. Backs are Wilwood. Fronts look like factory GM. It stops and steers great.
Driveline: Rebuilt 454 Chevy big block with complete HD rotating assembly internals for the blower application. 8 to 1 compression. Lunatic 0002 cam. 544 lift and 292 duration. Summit part # LUN-000241K, Roller rockers. High performance aluminum heads. 871 Weiand blower with 750 CFM Edlebrock carbs. Gear drive. Wet intros system. ( note: the NOS system is hooked up, and could be used I guess if you have enough guts, but the bottle has never been filled or system used. There is absolutely no need for additional power for this car. It just adds to the WOW factor. Trans is a high performance Hughes with a 2500 stall converter. It has a manual shift reverse valve body in it. Summet Part # HUP-34-2R. Spark is provide with all MSD ignition parts. Headers are 55-57 Chevy fender wells with vintage Super Trap extensions / mufflers. One tube has a crack on top of it. Easy fix for a welder. This car is very nasty sounding and will wake up the neighbors.
Note: I may sell just the engine out of it, if the car does not sell. Call if you have an interest in it. I will take $8500.00 for the complete set-up, air scoop to pan, including all of the nitrous items. That nitrous system was $1700.00 alone and has never been used.
Wheels and tires: Keeping with the vintage look: The wheels are real vintage ET mag wheels. Not new reproductions. 15 x 5.5 on the front and 15 x 8.5 on the back. The rear tires are new Firestone bias ply reproduction 10 per crust slicks. Fronts are new bias ply Firestone reproductions also. I have several sets of wheels and tires that will fit this car. From some very nice Weld drag racing wheels / tires, to vintage slots, to nice steelies, or just rollers to load it up. I figure the wheels and tires on it in the pictures are worth $1500.00 for me to keep if you do not want them. Other wheel options can be discussed later.
I know I am forgetting something here, so please call for additional information.
This is not a car that you would want to drive hundreds of miles back home in. Please plan on having it hauled or shipped.
AND - -- If you are going to have this car shipped, I would highly recommend an enclosed trailer. It has never been in the rain yet, and this would not be the time to chance rain getting into areas where it shouldn't.
AND - -- Make sure you ask if the trucker will take the hood as an additional item.
NO TRADES, PLEASE DO ASK ASK.
Now for the business end. I encourage you, or someone you trust or hire, to come by and check out the vehicle in person. I will refund your deposit if the vehicle does not match the above description, but the car is being sold as is per this listing. The vehicle does not leave here until all funds clear my bank. Bank and cashiers checks can take up to 10 business days. My bank will give me a letter stating the date when the check will clear. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. Bank transfers can take up to 2 days depending on what time of the day it is initiated on your end. Again, my bank will let me know when it clears. Cash is great if picking it up in person.
Call me at 314-732-592five to get honest answers to all of your questions BEFORE YOU BID. Thanks, Dave

For you new members, please don't bid unless you know and accept how ebay works and understand that you are legally committing to purchase if you bid. Not following through with a purchase after winning an auction for a new member can result in ebay canceling your membership.
Thanks to all, good luck with your bidding, and have a great day, Dave 314-732-592five
