I bought this rare jeep to restore but I've found a fully restored one so this one is up for sale. I do not need to get cash so I would consider an early gpw in the same condition as trade. The jeep is in excellent running condition but the engine is the wrong flat four. However included with the jeep is a very early slat motor that needs to be rebuilt. This is a jeep that can be enjoyed as is for many years before restoration. Plenty of time to continue collecting the missing parts. Correct earl tranny is in great condition and shifts through all gears. This is a great opportunity to get your hands on a very desirable early slat grill at a low price. It's one of the first 1700 jeeps built in 1941 before ford started to build jeeps. Still has the original frame tag. A tailgate was made out of the original tail panel, my body guy said it could be saved but I'm including a replacement panel with it. The jeep is rust free except for the bottom of the fuel tank sump area. The original early style battery tray is still there but will need a little repair. Floors are solid with some wrinkle on the passenger area. She has a lot of the correct parts such as transmission, early front and rear ends, scalloped axles, original pancake air cleaner ( will be installed instead of the one pictured) fuel filter, , front seats, filterette, low windshield, radiator? etc. I encourage all potential bidders to come see and inspect the jeep before bidding as it is sold as is and sale is final.
