Willys JEEPSTER PHAETON (1951)

Price: US $8,200.00
This 1951 Willys Jeepster is a one of a kind Hot Rod that is fun to
drive, and really gets the looks. The Buy it Now price is a Steal! It has a complete drive-train from a 1955
Oldsmobile, so it really gets up and goes, unlike the original Flathead 4
cylinders they came with. The installation is clean and well done. The body was
removed from the frame, and the front end parts, brakes and shocks were all
replaced. This is not a high end show car, but it is a very nice driver. It has
the most solid original body and chassis I have ever seen on a Jeepster, and I
have owned six of them. The floors and braces are all factory original with no
signs of cancer. I did see some very tiny paint bubbles in the lower body that
can only be seen on a lift. Here are some highlights:
· New Torque Thrust M Wheels 18x8 in rear, and 17x7 in front
· New Milestar MS932 Sport Radial Tires
265 60 18 Rear, and 215 65 17 in front
· New Chrome Splined Lug nuts
· New Shocks all around
· New Brakes including New Wheel
Cylinders, Flexible Hydraulic Hoses and Shoes
· High Torque 324 Olds V8 factory 4bbl
· New 12 volt Generator and Regulator
· New Radiator, Drive Belt, Hoses
· 4 Speed Hydra-Matic Transmission
· Heavy Duty Olds rear end Shortened and
converted to same lug pattern as front (5x4.5)
· New Digital Speedometer. Easy to adjust
for different tire height or gear changes
· New Auto Meter and Stewart Warner gauges
· New Polypropylene Gas Tank in stock
location W/ New sender
· New Carpet and Upholstery
· Custom Door Panels and Sun Visors
· New Convertible Top
· New Side Curtains (all Four)
· Aftermarket Turn Signal
· New Weather-stripping
· New Glove Box Insert
Known issues:
Fuel Gauge erratic
Has a squeak in the body
Engine has some typical lifter noise, but runs great
Emergency brake parts are all there, but need more fiddling to work
correctly
Windshield wiper parts all there except for the arms, but I have
not hooked the vacuum up to see if they work
No Radio or Heater
Paint looks good, but is not perfect. There are some chips here and
there
I believe I have covered everything, but please write with any questions.
The Jeepster will come with a vin number matching, open, clear, Oregon State
Title, and as with any used vehicle it will be sold as-is. I will
need a 500 dollar deposit at the close of the auction by way of PayPal with the
balance due within 5 business days in the form of Cash, Cashiers Check, or Bank
Transfer. All checks will need to clear my bank before the Jeepster can be
released.
Thanks, TJ
