This Willys runs but is a project, needs lots of work and TLC. View all pictures. Please ask questions before you bid.
This Willys will crank up and run. But is far from a daily driver. I have owned it for 8+ years. Put about 25 miles or less on it each year. I intended to restore it but have not had the time so I would like to sell to someone who will bring it back to it's true glory!! It's really an awesome car and a lot of fun to drive. Turns heads everywhere you go.
There is quite a bit of rust underneath. See photos. Looks like it had some kind of paint or sealer also at one time which is all dried out and flaking off. Other areas of rust around fender flares and wheel wells.
The engine is a 54 engine but is not the original engine to the car.
Odometer reads 76863. I have no idea if that is correct. I don't think the engine has that many miles on it.
It cranks up and runs but needs to have the carburetor cleaned.
Tires are new, less than 100 miles
It is Four Wheel Drive - I have never tried to put it in 4wd - I don't know if it works properly or not.
The carburetor is not the original to the car.
The fuel pump is not the original
The steering wheel and column is not the original
It was rewired at some point
Some body work on wheel wells and tailgate was done at some point.
FYI - A buyer looked at it. He said the vin tag might not be the original. It does match the title. He also said the tail lights were not original for a 54. I don't know if this is the case or not.
I have lots of parts and paperwork from previous owners.
