Well I'm sure no expert on Willy's, but I acquired this 1948 pickup from a guy who's family has owned it for decades.They no longer have a need for it, so I am now selling it. (I got as part of a trade). Here is what I know, and as honestly as I know it...This is what I would call a Barn Find, and has been in storage for several years.
The previous owner recently put fresh gas and oil in it and it started right up. (a puff of smoke from sitting). The old thing actually runs and drives quite well.It is almost 100% original, and complete. It is missing the original bumpers, as well as the factory-type air cleaner.
It's sure not perfect, but for being almost 70 years old, it's a neat survivor.. It has some typical rust here and there, but the cab-corners, floors, etc are excellent.I have tried to take good photos so you can see its overall condition.
I have a clear and open Wyoming title for it.
My opening bid is 3, 500 with no reserve.
Now... all this having been said... I can't imagine finding a more complete, or a more original and un-molested truck like this for the price. This truck would make a neat daily driver as-is, or perhaps be a candidate for a restoration project somewhere down the road? It's old, dirty, and just how I recieved it. Wish I knew more, but I do not. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way. I am honest and dependable, and the winning bidder can count on my help for an easy and smooth transaction...Thanks. Terms of sale...I can not ship. .. This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can.
