Willys wagon (1956)
for sale
Price: US $1,950.00
Price: US $1,950.00
Well I'm sure no expert on Willy's, but a friend of mine has been building this 4 x 4 wagon for the last 10 years or so. He ran out of time and space for it so now its mine.
This is what I call a Barn Find'. Here is what I know, and as honestly as I know it...This Willys has been sitting idle, and in storage for the last 2 or 3 years. He has put a lot of work and money into it, but it is a project and needs to be finished.
This vehicle is 60 years old and being sold as is. It surely is a project . (not currently running). I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be disappointed in any way.
The minus's would be that it needs the wiring finished, and lots of final assembly and detail remains. There are misc. parts in the back of the truck to help finish.
Here are some of the pluses about the vehicle... Most of the hard mechanical stuff is all finished. The engine is a 1994, fuel injected 350 originally (now carburated). It has a big manifold, big carburator, H.E.I. ignition etc. The engine has just 40, 000 original miles and is excellent.(I have heard and seen the engine running).
It has a turbo 350 automatic transmission with a G.M. TC 241C transfer case as as well as custom built drive shafts etc. The axles are both Danas and from a 2001 Cherokee (Power-Disc up front). This willy's also has power steering and a brand new dual exhaust system.(complete). The steering column is a jeep wrangler unit.
It has rancho suspension. and a rear mount fuel cell and battery. It has a new painless harness but needs finishing. The gauges are all digital.(about half of them are wired and functioning). The tires are older but still have the nubs on them. They are in good condition. The body is in good condition for it age... It's sure not perfect and somewhat of a project. If you like to tinker with the smaller stuff, this may be of interest to you as the major drive-train stuff is all but done. (engine-trans-drive shafts-brakes-exhaust etc.).
My opening bid is 1, 950.00 with no reserve.
I have a clear and open Colorado title for it. Now... all this having been said, I can't imagine finding a neater barn find Willys wagon like this one for the price.
I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way. I am honest and dependable, and the winning bidder can count on my help for an easy transaction...Thanks. Terms of sale...I can not ship. .. This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can.
