Amazing original condition 1949 Nash. Starts, stops, runs and drives as new. transmission shifts as new, with overdrive. The overall condition of this car is unbelievable. Super solid floors, super solid rockers. Only a hint of rust on the drivers side door bottoms. Car was factory undercoated. NEW: brakes and hardware, carburetor, door panels, pep boys seat covers, exhaust system, brake lines, NEEDS; carpet. could use a headliner and windlace, seats to be redone. MISSING; passenger door vent window handle NOT WORKING; gas gauge, radio MILEAGE; 59, 832 This is the story I was told when I bought the car. I can not verify anything in this story, but as to the condition of the car it makes sense. 80 year old original owner kept car in heated garage it's whole life. When he died, family pushed car out of garage and left under tree for 6mos. with windows open. that's where I came in. The car was covered in tree gunk, and the interior was gross from tree gunk. I put new door panels on it, took 3 days to clean it and let the sun dry it out. drained the gas tank, which was almost not necessary, put a battery in, and drove it around my neighborhood. Chrome is excellent, stainless and pot metal is very good, all glass is very good. Really a nice driving car. Please feel free to come and look or send one of those inspection companies to take a look. bunch of spare parts in the trunk.
