290 4 speed 354 posi. power steering, power brakes. 1 of approx. 550 68 AMX's sold with the 290 4 speed combination. Restoration was started by previous owner around 2000. He had the body work and paint done and it was put in storage until last year when I purchased it and finished it. Motor and trans were also rebuilt. Runs and drives excellent. I would not hesitate to take it anywhere. Things I did was to install new wiring harness' new clutch disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing. New battery. New rear springs and 4 shocks. Rebuilt the front disc brake calipers, replaced brake lines as needed. Rear brake drums were replaced and gone thru. New fuel line. Mechanically the car is good to go. Being painted approx. 17 yrs ago it does have blemishes, nothing serious . I also refurbished the interior with new materials from Legendary Interiors . New door and window seals. Installed an aftermarket stereo and speakers and a shitload of other minor things to make a very nice looking and reliable running car. Fuel gage and Tac are inop. I tested the fuel gage and wiring and they checked out good so it will need a new sending unit which I just haven't gotten to. The tac just recently stopped working. Everything else works as it should. I did delete the heater controls since I never drive my cars in the winter anyway. Please contact me with any questions you may have.
