TRUE CLASSIC Collector CRUISER. UNMOLESTED 90% Original condition. Like NEW condition. V-8 AMC 290 CU IN with 2 barrel carb. Posi rear end is a low ratio for great GAS MILEAGE and highway cruising. Runs smooth like a Swiss watch. Chrome engine dress-up package includes 10 Chrome air cleaner, valve cover, coil and more. Floor mounted automatic 3 speed transmission shifts CRISPLY and CLEANLY with NO hesitation or wear evident. NEW (OEM) exhaust - it RUMBLES. Body is Laser straight and true. Like new Paint - Bittersweet Orange - flawless, BLINDING shine. Great low miles- about an average of 2000 mi/year. Like new tires - period correct. Like NEW (OEM) interior and rugs. All lights, gauges and mechanicals in working order.History - first owned by an unmarried couple for the first 5 years, the couple kept the car in a garage except when used. They paid $3302.50 for the car, The original bill of sale and other paperwork are included in the sale. Later an elderly (probably my age) man owned the car for 15 years. During which he only put 3, 000 miles TOTAL on the vehicle. He maintained the Javelin METICULOUSLY. Fran Knapic was the 4th owner. He also loved and ensured that the maintenance was continued during his ownership. He really thought that he would keep the Javelin forever.. He decided to sell the Javelin in 2015 when my husband, Gary, purchased it one month prior to being diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer that metastasized to his brain, Gary was so excited about the Javelin and also kept vigilant in his responsibility to keep this CLASSIC - perfect. Before he died he had the windshield wipers replaced, coolant thermostat and Temperature sender replaced, the V-8 fuel pump double actions for the vacuum wipers replaced, front pinion bearing, front and back gas shocks, new battery and fuel pump and trunk mat replaced.
