, the fiberglass body is mounted on a steel chassis featuring Mustang
II front suspension with disk brakes, and a Ford 8.8 Trac Lok rear end with drum brakes. The 302ci Chevrolet V8 is
backed by a Muncie M22 4-speed manual gearbox and equipped with aluminum heads, Hilborn fuel injection, solid lift roller camshaft, roller rockers, and more.
The Pennsylvania-based seller acquired the car in 2015, and commissioned a complete interior refurbishment and exterior repaint. The odometer now shows 71k miles, and an inspection was performed in preparation for the sale. This Sebring 5000
is now being offered with recent records and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The fiberglass body features flared wheel arches and a faux
vented hood with a functional (and removable) scoop. Curb weight is said to be
approximately 2, 200 pounds. The current red-and-tan paint scheme was applied
during the seller's ownership, and new chrome bumpers and mounting brackets have also been installed. Some flaking is
noted on the chrome grille surround.
The tan convertible roof is original to the car and can be
seen up close in the gallery, and it stows nicely beneath the tonneau boot. knock-off spinner Dayton
wire wheels measure 7? wide at the front and 8? at the rear. They are mounted
with BFGoodrich tires all around.
The cockpit was refurbished in 2018 and features a wood dash
housing VDO gauges, climate controls, and a Blaupunkt CD player. A
small-diameter banjo-style wheel and Hurst
shifter are equipped. 71k miles are shown on the odometer, around 600 of which
have been added by the seller.
Padded bucket seats are upholstered in tan leatherette, and
5-point RJS harnesses are equipped for both driver and passenger.
The trunk is lined with a carpeted mat and contains a jack
and spinner mallet. A new 16 gallon fuel tank and fuel pump with all new fuel
lines were installed during the seller?s ownership.
The 302ci Chevy small block was installed during the seller's
ownership with 11:1 compression pistons, a solid-lifter roller camshaft, roller
rockers, aluminum heads, custom headers, electronic ignition, and a tunable
Hilborn EFI system with velocity stacks. The seller states that the build has
been featured on the Hilborn website and is estimated to produce 485 horsepower
and 480 lb-ft of torque. There is less than 600 miles on the new drive train.
This car runs on pump gas.
The newly rebuilt Muncie M22 - Rock Crusher gearbox , a new steel flywheel, Centerforce clutch and pressure plate. Ford 8.8 Trac Lok positraction rear differential guaranteed to
hold 550 hp. 3.0 gears are great for cruising. Service records from the seller's ownership are included, and an
inspection was conducted in December 2018.
