1996 Geo Tracker 2-door Base Sport Utility model with manual 4-Wheel Drive and COMPLETELY REBUILT ENGINE. Engine: optional 1.6L 4 cylinder 16-valve fuel injected engine that has 100 horsepower, very peppy! Safety features include anti-lock brakes with driver and passenger airbags. This is a nice clean SUV with 120, 6xx low actual mileage, currently licensed, registered and inspected in VA with clean title in-hand. Recently professionally detailed and ready for her new owner.
Well maintained, with regular oil changes and recent repairs including; 2017 – New battery, replaced ERG solenoid, 2015 – front brake job, replaced Idle Control Valve, replaced heater control unit, replaced Locking Hubs.
Engine has less than 7500 gentle miles since rebuild under previous owner.
Engine rebuild included: new piston/rings, rod and main bearings, camshaft, valve seals, valves/valve job, water pump, oil pump, timing belt, timing belt cover, updated sprockets, new belts, NGK sparkplugs and wires, new heavy duty clutch kit with clutch cable. Typical engine rebuilders sell this long block rebuilt engine for about $2500. Included is a new radiator and hoses, new fuel pump, new battery. It has a smooth shifting 5-speed overdrive transmission with no issues. 2-speed transfer case with neutral and low range. New Manual Lockout hubs in perfect condition.
This SUV gets about 30mpg highway. This combination makes for a great SUV to flat tow behind your motor home or just to enjoy driving around. Roadmaster invisible tow brackets are included and SUV is set up for NSA ReadyBrake and ReadyStop braking systems (does not include the ReadyBrake Receiver). Tow wiring is installed and is ready to tow with included towbar and has Class 1 HiddenHitch installed with 4-Flat wiring harness. Comes with two-piece removable hardtop. This Tracker does not have air conditioning. Included are OEM wheels and five nearly new General Grabber A/T tires. This is a nice, solid, good driving SUV with a very clean body and original white paint (there is just a little surface rust in the bottom of the door).
Included in this car’s rebuild was the interior. The interior was completely removed. POR-15 rust preventive coating was applied to the entire floorboard followed by Thermo-Tec 14620 Heat and Sound Suppressor Acoustical mat. The interior has been completely re-carpeted and both driver and passenger seats have been reconditioned retaining the cars original fabric. Dashboard and interior paneling is in excellent condition, not split or color faded. New windshield, removable hardtop has new sound proof headliners. Original am/fm cassette radio works and the car is wired (with antenna) for XM/Sirius radio (does not come with XM/Sirius radio). There is no rear seat installed (did not come with one).
Includes original owner's manual and a full set of 1996 OEM service manuals.
I’m sure that whoever gets this car will find that if it’s towed it’s so light (~2200 lbs) you’ll hardly know it’s attached. If it is driven off road you’ll find that in 4 low it has exceptional climbing power. And if it’s simply driven around town you’ll be able to thumb your nose at the gas station a little more often.
Also included in the sale are the accessories pictured; RoadMaster Flacon 5250 towbar with harness umbilical, break-away cables, cover, unlocking tool, pins and tow bag, rear hitch mounted cargo rack, trailer hitch with 1 7/8th inch ball, roof racks, hitch-mounted T-rack, WeatherTech floor mats and car cover.
Replaced by a Jeep Wrangler to carry three large kayaks.
