Retrofit IMS bearing was inspected less than 200 miles ago, you have a worry free car.
Hydraulic ramps were rebuilt, and a window regulator was replaced at the same time, top works flawlessly. Car has been trouble free, fully reliable daily driver. This car has always been in the sunbelt states: Texas and AZ, and it shows. From what I understand the car was originally custom ordered (full leather, color combo, exhaust tips, 911 badges, clear corners) from the factory in Stuttgart Germany as part of the Porsche European Delivery program. Full comprehensive service history for last two owners. Serviced by Stuttgart Southwest during this time.
Car is in amazing shape, garaged 95% of the time, AZ and TX owned. Rare color combo for the 911, dark metallic green and tan combo. This car has the full leather interior, which means leather everywhere, best 996 interior you can get, and it's in great shape. No wear through on seats, driver seat in great shape, and others seats appear not used at all. 18 Porsche rims from a later 911 model look amazing. Headlights are perfectly clear. A real showstopper, on the street most people think this is a 2006-2007 model and costs $50k+.
Check out the walkaround video below.
Head unit has been replaced with a Sony color matched unit that adds better sound, and bluetooth phone and audio integration (one touch Siri/Google Now). Car comes with original wind bafflers in original factory bags.
Great service history with a great color combo, $800 option from factory premium exhaust tips have a great look, PSE exhaust type modification gives a great factory enhanced sound (no difference below 4k RPMs). Both keys area available. Tires: Fronts in great shape, rears on these cars are always close to replacement. If you buy it now I can have them replaced prior to sale.
Clean title in hand. Email with any questions. For sale locally, can set up a PPI and will work with shipping company for pick up at your cost.
As this is a 17 year old car:- passenger mirror points down when reversing, need to manually set back to position- Memory settings for seat non-functional, but fully operational otherwise- Rock chips in typical areas from freeway driving (paint incredible otherwise)- One wheel crest missing- Few minor plastic parts on interior missing (cigarette lighter, tiny trim piece)- One lower door speaker surround cracked, aesthetic only, I have the replacement part that I'll include in sale- Sun visors hinges broken (pretty much every 996/997 has this issue)
The best argument for buying a 996 (places IMS fix car value at around $20k)
