AMC AMX (1970)
for sale
Price: US $10,000.00
Price: US $10,000.00
This is an EXTREMELY RARE car.
A 1970 Big Bad Orange AMX with a 390 4 speed.
THIS IS NOT A CLONE. Only 122 1970 BBO’s were produced.
This is a project car. It ran when I bought it 2011, but haven’t had time to get it going again. Assume that it is a complete restore project. If you’re going to do a ground up on an AMX , you won’t find a better candidate to invest your time and money. Besides the photos I put up, I have a youtube link from when I bought it. If sold here, $500 non-refundable due immediately, via Propay, remainder within 7 days.
SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. I have a clear title.TEXT any questions. If you’re not in my contacts, I will not pick-up any phone calls, 815-768-5020.
I purchased this 1970 BBO in 2011, from a guy in Florida. He provided
this
youtube link –

It was an original Michigan
car, the owner retired to Florida,
that’s how it ended up there.
The car is still titled in the original owners name, but it
was transferred to a Florida
title after he moved there.
As far as I know, the car was all original when buyer #2
bought it. I assume he didn’t buy anything else for lack of funs. He did
replace the gas tank, which is not OEM.
This guy had no money, so had done a real half ass restore, which he couldn’t finish. For that
reason, I am not going to make any comments on the extent of the rust, as I
honestly have no idea. It was restored
enough to hide it, I’ve advertised it as
a complete restoration project, you do the math and assume worst case scenario.
It was a Michigan
car.
Someone emailed me when I ran the first auction. He said he looked at the car
before I bought it and that as far as he could tell it was pretty solid except
for the trunk area. His works, not mine.
Since I viewed it as a major project, I saw no need for it to
take up space in my full garage. It sat outside for 2 years, on a trailer with
a tarp over it. The tarp got hot and when we removed it part of the paint came
off with it. It needed a new paint job anyway.
Also, the parts that were removed since the youtube video
(taillights, bezels), were shot I removed them. I still have them, they are
worthless but you can have them.
Assume it to be a complete restoration.
So before I really got a chance to do anything with this
BBO, I found another in good driver condition. That’s why I’m selling this one.
DEPOSIT OF $500 AT END OF AUCTION WILL HOLD FOR AN
ADDITIONAL 30 DAYS UNTIL YOU CAN MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO MOVE IT.
NO PAYPAL
I'll email invoice you after purchase to pay thru with any major credit card, if you are unable to interface thru Ebay.
