1970 Javelin 232 six cylinder, automatic...power steering.
original bittersweet color with black interior.
This is a good running driving car , everything works. Horn , temp and fuel gauge all work fine. Battery and charging system work fine . The vacuum wipers and manual pump washer work great. Brakes are good, New rear shores and wheel cylinders. The automatic transmission works/shifts great.
The 232 was fully rebuilt and balanced with forged pistons, cam, valves and all new parts. I have the machine shop receipt for $1800 not installed. Engine has approx. 40, 000 miles since rebuild and runs better then new. The 232 was built by a very knowledgeable machinist who built AMC racing engines back in the day.
Car has a NOS carb, wiper motor , volt reg. , heater control valve. .. . NOS Modine radiator, all new hoses, factory style hose clamps, rebuilt water pump, factory HD cooling metal fan shroud. ...New HEI distributor and wires. Car has a locking gas cap, after market stereo.
All of the glass is good.(clear not tinted) pass window is coming unglued and needs a little help to roll up. The exhaust manifold needs a new gasket where it bolts to bottom of the intake. The pipe and muffler are good

Car has 70 AMX Ram-air hood , front spoiler, roof spoiler , trunk lid spoiler. ..and rear window louvers (louvers are from a Hornet hatchback). V8 coil springs with new shocks up front. Rear springs are V8 heavy duty with new bushings, bands, and a extra leaf added.
body has some rust to rear 1/4 panels, trunk/tail panel seam , driver door lower corner (driverside door is not original to the car), front frame has a patch under steering box. The front passenger floor pan is rusted. ....AMX hood had hood pins at one time and body work is lifting. ..rear spoiler is from a later 1971-74 AMX.
Rear axle is V8 model 20 with 2.87 twin grip/posi. The driveshaft was shortened and balanced with new u-joints. .. .. .. Front brakes are V8 drum. Factory V8 front sway bar has also been added. Power steering is Factory quick ratio 3 turns. Wheels are 70, s AMC 14 inch aluminum, tires have some dry rot. Includes full size spare and jack.
Car runs and drives great. I would not hesitate to drive this across the country with some new tires and front end alignment.
The car is ready for your V8 engine...or I have a complete 360 2bbl with 727 transmission and V8 crossmember available for extra $$$...will credit some $ if you do not want the 232 engine that is in the car.
