I am selling my 69 AMC Javelin SST factory 343 - 4 barrel Typhoon 4 speed Hurst car. Matching #'s. Car was sold on Sept. 20, 1969 from Harrison Motor co. in Scio, Ohio. Car remained in Ohio till I purchased in 2013 and titled car in PA. Car was last state inspected in Ohio in 1985.
Engine rebuilt and 4 speed trans. rebuilt by Professional Engine Machine Shop with less that 1000 miles. I have receipts totaling over six thousand dollars from previous owner who was planning on getting this car back on the road but stated that he had to many other restoration projects cars to complete and just stopped working on this car after the rebuild of engine and trans. was completed, and he parked the car in the garage.
Here is a list of work that has been performed.
Radiator re-core, New brake lines, New emergency cable, New Flow master dual exhaust 2-1/2 by custom exhaust shop, New front and rear seat covers, New carpet, New Clutch, Re Chromed front and rear bumpers (no dents).
Body work performed- There was a small amount of rust behind the rear wheels on both sides, repaired with welded in patch panels. There was No other rust on body.
Paint work performed- Stripped car to bare metal, Primed car twice, Block sanded, Sprayed epoxy sealer, Basecoat and clear coat 2 stage, Factory P72A Frost White color. Paint on car is extremely nice, I would rate it a 8.5 out of 10. Looks great to the closest of inspections.
Installed all new badges on car.
Car has Power brake and Power steering.
No Cracks in dash, Floor board and frame rails are excellent. Original interior door panels where painted. All signals, lights, radio and heater work as they should.
Runs, drives and sounds very nice. Great oil pressure.
Not a trailer queen, But would place in a local car show.
Driver side window does not crank up level. Crack in front grill. Clock does not work. Manual choke cable need replacement. Electric windshield fluid pump faulty, but wipers work as they should.
