1955 Austin Healey 100/4 M. Beautifully and functionally restored by Austin Healey experts. I purchased this Healey from the estate of the original owner in California. It was in a storage facility for many years, but had no signs of damage or rust. I wanted to do everything necessary for this Healey to look and drive GREAT. With the knowledge and expertise of Alan Hendrix of Hendrix Wire Wheels in Greensboro, NC, my desires were exceeded. We started with an off frame restoration. All of the engine parts to upgrade to a LeMans (M) were purchased from Dennis Welch Racing in Great Britain. The Healey was checked by Dyno and was at 150hp after the upgrade. Alan then recommended that we change to disc brakes to give it the necessary stopping power. Then we put in a Toyota 5 speed racing transmission to handle the increased power. The original 4 speed transmission will be sent with the Healey, but this upgrade is outstanding. The interior is black leather and absolutely beautiful. All of the upgrades were completed over several years at a six figure cost. This is the car for the Buyer that wants the BEST looking and handling Austin Healey 100/4 M. This was a California car that had been in storage for many years. It was in excellent overall condition. When the Austin arrived in North Carolina, my mechanic changed the oil and the fuel and put in a new battery and after years sitting it cranked up and we drove it around the parking lot at Hendrix Wire Wheels in Greensboro, NC. Many of you that are familiar with Austin Healeys will recognize the name of Alan Hendrix (an Expert on Austin Healeys). Alan was asked to make any changes that would make this the best visual and mechanical Healey on the road. I give him 100% credit for the look and handling of this Healey.
