Beautifully restored, investment grade car, runs and drive great, beautiful paint, numbers matching car, this a very rare 2 seat BN7 with OD, I bought this car from the second long term California owner for a local customer 6-7 years ago, it was already a restored car. We redid all the chrome ( bumper, windshield surround, all the light bezels, etc, ) The previous owner restored the car and did some upgrading, he installed Weber DCOE carbs and a upgraded cam, he installed a rear sway bar, and vents in the front wings, he also installed a roll bar. He did a great job on the restoration and the car is quite stunning, he chose not to restore the parts he did not use, so all of the original parts come with the car, but the front bumper and valence, top, and side curtains, and of coarse the original carbs and linkages come with the car but were not restored. When we got the car, I rebuilt the rear hubs, rebuilt the steering box, and did all the chrome, replaced the carpets, and took out the roll bar as it impinged on the seat travel, We could find no evidence of the car ever being hit or damaged, this is a very good totally rust free car.
I wanted to make sure that bidders understand a little more history about this car to know what you are bidding on,
The original California owner owned this car from 1960 till 1983 (23 years ) and then the second owner ( also California ) subjected it to a multi year body off, nut and bolt restoration, and had every system restored, the engine, trans, ( except perhaps the steering box ( see above ) and added the upgrades, hot cam, Webers, headers, side wing vents, new wiring harness, rear roll bar, etc, etc, he said he had $40K in receipts all of this work was done by well known shops in Cal. including the Healey store, and this $40K was in 1980s money. The second owner loved this car from 1983 until 2009 ( 26 years ) we are talking long term owners, 49 years between the 2. When we got the car is was still stunning and fantastic driving car, but as I said some of the chrome was just beginning to show some wear, so we just freshened up a bit, so it is ready to show and go tour with. This is an opportunity to get a first rate investment grade car that has no needs.
