this nice 1972 skylark convertible comes with pearl white interior , new black carpet, new rear brakes system new. the front brakes have about 70% pad left. new tires factor wheels came from so calif reconditioned but i failed to wipe off some water on them and where the water stood there is some rust stain. should be able to buff out. also the car could use a good detail and buffing all together. there is water spots and some streaks .some improfictions on paint in places that should buff out. this car does not leak or smoke runs strong and quite going down the road. has new shocks all the way around smooth ride you can go 70 and turn loose of the steering wheel and it will go straight. handle very nice. and sounds good. car has rear wheel positraction , automatic tranny just service and works great. all gauges , lights , horn ect work. the only thing that does not work is the windshield wash button wipers work but not washer its the switch . there is a new one in the glove compartment . engine compartment was not cleaned when pictures were taken as you can see it is very clean a little dusty. the top has no rips on the outside and does not leak. the power system work fine on raising and lowering top. i would and was planning on changing out the exhuast system and putting duel on it. other than that i would not hasitate to take off cross country with her. nice ride gets a lot of thumps up , nice car . hate to get rid of her but need to pay off some bills.. looking to retire soon.. | “this is a nice unmolested 1972 skylark. the negative items on this convertible are the following: it could use a good detailing and buffing out. there are some water spots and streaks.there are some light rust spots on the stock recondition wheels where i did not wipe of the water in the winter time but should clean up small areas.there is a little surface rust in the floor of the truck no cancer. car floor boards ok. the only real cancer is two places around the passager rear wheel well.one on top above the chrome trim the other down near the lower trim same wheel well. there is a dent about the size of a quarter on same pannel behind the wheel well. (please see pictures) the windshield washer switch needs replace,wipers work.there is a new switch in the glove box.there is a black plastic window crank backing behind handle to keep it from rubbing the fabric.if car sets for awhile there is a tappit noise for about 4 seconds then goes away.does not smoke or leak runs strong and smooth” |
