AWESOME LITTLE CAR
Up for sale is a unique and One of a Kind Corvair Monza. This car is a Trans-AM in Corvair disguise; the ultimate sleeper!!!
The second generation corvair is one of the prettiest designs to be offered by GM in the 60's except for the Corvette. This car had the looks and was the right size. In it's day it was a very popular car and continues to be that way among it's loyal followers. But this car is special. It was built over what started life as a 77 trans-Am. That trans-am had a 403 Oldsmobile engine, and automatic transmission, a posi rear and a number of suspension components that allowed it to handle that heavy body with ease. The Corvair body weighs much less than the Pontiac Trans-AM. Result? A much lighter fun car to drive.
You would think that having the motor upfront would make the car nose heavy. But not this one. It is light up front, nimble on the turns, easy to parrallel park with it's power steering and easy to stop with it's new master cylinder and power brake booster and the Disc brakes up front big enough to stop the bird. The engine has been upgraded by adding an Edelbrock 750 Carburator, aluminum intake, headers, and the transmission was rebuilt. Car has a remote battery disconnect so it won't start if you don't want it to start for someone who does not have keys to the car.
It has newer Ralley Rims and tires, Trans-am Suspension components, power steering and is very user friendly.
If you wanted to go to the car scene with a totally unique car where you will stand out amongst the sea of really nice high dollar restorations; if you wanted to be the one talked about long after the show was over; If you wanted to drive your sweet ride to get groceries and not worry about shopping cart dings or light paint scratches; if you wanted to be the center of attraction and have all that fun for less than $8K, then this might just be the ride you are looking for. Good looking enough to fit in, unique enough to stand out, and fast enough to light them up with ease.
If you have less than 10 on your feedback please contact me before bidding. This car comes with no warranty, expressed, written or implied. It is an old car and one of a kind at that. I will send pics to anyone that requires additional photos. I am running an auction with the ability to make an offer rather than bid up. I am not into those games. I need to sell the car but I own't be giving it away. This will be the last time advertised on e-bay as the fees are getting out of control. If it doesn't sell this time around I will only list locally. I can help deliver the car anyway in Florida and will also meet potential buyer on Florida State line if you live on the East Coast. That might help some of you with the shipping charges.
Thanks for looking at my auction. God luck to all. Please understand that I work everyday and have no access to internet during the day so if you need answers to questions or pictures of the car I can send but only after 7 pm Eastern Standard Time.
