Classic 1955 Chevy 3100 Pick Up Truck.
Overall excellent condition.
We have owned it for 34 years and had a complete restoration done 7 years ago. The truck was a Kentucky farm truck. Build in Norwood, Ohio.
Truck was very solid with minimal rust before restoration. No automotive bondo. Original motor and transmission as well as most other original parts. 46, 500 original miles. Very clean. Restoration was inside and out. A few small scratches here and there, no dents. Paints were purchased from GM.
The 1955 First Series was only made for 5 months until the new body style was manufactured. Looks identical to the 1954 version except for a redesigned hood-side emblems and modern open drive shaft in place of the enclosed torque tube.
Modernizations include: conversion for use of today's unleaded gasoline and installation of a 6 volt electric fuel pump for easy starting.
After sitting in storage all winter, truck started right up. Has been stored in heated garage since restoration.
The few minor flaws found are show pretty well in the pictures. Bidders are encouraged to make arrangements for inspection prior to bidding.
