1951 chevy 3100 short wheel base. Truck is a project truck with very little left to be a daily driver. pretty solid old truck that has had upgrades done to it. This truck sits on the original 1951 frame that has had a mustang 2 front suspension installed about 10 years ago. I have just recently installed a 1986 305 small block chevy that was completely and professionally rebuilt, rebuilt 350 turbo trans, power rack and pinion steering, 10 bolt chevy rear (3:08) Radiator has been reconditioned, new brake lines, calipers, rotors, pads. This Truck runs and drives good. Body has a few issues but overall solid. Cab has had new rockers installed, floor pans are solid but have some pin holes. Fenders are soild, running boards are solid. box sides are solid, original bumpers are in excellent shape with no dents, frame is very nice. The only wiring in the truck is the ingnition wiring so I can start and run it. It needs and exhaust system, it has nice small block exhaust manifolds. This truck is not pretty! it has dents and dings, so if you are looking for a show truck this is not for you unless you want to restore it. This truck in its current condition would make a great daily driver, cool shop truck. The 305 has about 10k miles on rebuild, runs very strong with a nice cam. The wheels and tire are good, crager 5 star 15 inch. Tilt steering from an early 1970 chevy, new gauges not mounted, just sitting in the the factory opening for the radio. The power rack and pinion steering has a leak but sale comes with a new in the box rebuild kit. All the glass is good, windows roll up and down nice, windshield does have 2 small stone chips. The passage door must have been damaged at one time (full of bondo) I have a very nice door to replace that one. Sale also includes extra box sides (used).
Engine: 1986 305 .030 bore, comp cam, air gap intake, 600 cfm edelbrock, Runs excellent, no leaks! no smoke!
Transmission: 350 turbo automatic, rebuilt less than 2000 miles.
Rear end: 10 bolt chevy (3:08)
Steering: Mustang 2 front suspension, power rack and pinion, tilt column, power disc front, drum rear.
Truck needs: wiring, exhaust, missing transmission cover (floor).
This truck has a lot of potential! I need it gone! I have to many other projects going so I am selling this one. With very little work and money this could be a cool daily driver or tear it down and build a show truck!
