a real barn find 1951 Desoto  sedan (barn is not included!). That's right, this car was stored away in a 110 year old family barn by a gentleman farmer before passing onto greener pastures back around 2000 here in California.  If your looking for a one owner, low mileage, 65 year old classic that runs and drives and has no rust and has clean California paperwork for most likely less than $5kk, then this is the car for you! This sweet cruiser has less than 47k by the speedometer and most likely true as the condition of the car is nice and the farmer had lots of other cars he was driving. Dash erea looks great and all its gauge look good. interior is showing its age, but still has the classic look, probably more so if your looking for that's classic ratrod look. Body is in very nice condition and the only rust is surface rust on the exterior original paint and we even had it up on a hoist. Trunk erea is good and could use a little cleaning. Flat head six engine runs great and the fluid drive transmission shifts smooth. Steers well and brakes good too, and even the lights look to be in good working order. A quick, easy and afordable father/son car project.Though it runs and drives fine, it has been sitting for 20 years and will need to be trailered for safe transport until you have the time to check all the rubber and fluids.Have a clean title in hand and vin number has been verified. Will need a battery, but will stat and go easily onto a trailer. Winning bidder has 24 hours to send $500 deposit and the remainder within 6 days of auction end via deposit to my Wells Fargo Bank account, A US bank check, cash if local pickup ( car will be release when all funds have cleared). Wining bidder has 30 days to pickup car and anytime after that will be a $100 storage fee that will need to b payed before the car is released.
